Boasting panoramic views over open countryside and with the backdrop of the Cheviot Hills, Bees Cottage is the perfect getaway destination. Close to the beauty spots of Cheswick Sands, Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland National Park, the Heritage Coast and the historic walled town of Berwick upon Tweed.
Bees cottage is part of a rural farmstead, and the former farm smithy. This delightful, traditional, stone farm cottage offers excellent self-catering holiday accommodation and provides a wonderfully comfortable and relaxing holiday retreat for visitors to Northumberland.
Situated between Holy Island and the walled town of Berwick on Tweed, Bees Cottage is set amidst rolling farmland with distant views of the nearby coast and inland to the Cheviots and is ideal base from which to explore the area or simply relax and enjoy the views.
Accommodation Features
A comfortable, centrally heated three bedroomed cottage which has an outstanding rural location yet has easy access to town and coast and provides internet, Wi-Fi, and a good mobile signal. All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided.
Ground floor
On the ground floor, the cottage has a modern well-equipped kitchen with electric oven, microwave, washing machine & fridge/freezer. There is a cosy lounge with a Smart TV and Amazon echo together with a log burning stove. The dining room provides further seating and a Bluetooth DAB sound system.
Elsewhere on the ground floor you will find two comfortable bedrooms one with a king size bed and the other two single beds. There is also a downstairs shower room with large mains shower, sink and WC.
First floor
On the first floor there is the third bedroom with king size bed and DAB radio together with a separate bathroom with over bath mains shower, WC, sink & bidet.
Outside
The cottage has a pleasant enclosed rear garden which overlooks open fields and is provided with a dining table and seating. There are two allocated car parking spaces.
Nearby
The nearest supermarkets are in Berwick 4 miles away (Asda, Tesco, M&S Food, Morrison’s, Aldi). Holy Island causeway is some 4 miles away. Bamburgh and Alnwick are a little further but easily accessible.
Availability
Between April and October, the minimum stay is 7 days with Saturday arrival and departure.
Between November and March, Weekend 3-night stays are available with Friday arrival. Mid-week 4-night stays are also available with Monday arrival.
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets.
